Moderate year round temperatures and the natural, scenic beauty of the bay and river offer visitors a wide range of recreational opportunities. Alsea Bay has no maintained channel or jetties to provide safe navigation to or from the ocean. Dangerous conditions exist at the mouth of the Alsea on ebb tides. Be sure to check tides, river levels and boating safety.
