Port Seeking Candidates for Port Commissioner Vacancy

The Port of Alsea will soon have a vacancy on its Board of Commissioners. The Port is now seeking applicants who would like to be appointed to Rob Bishop’s board seat, who is resigning for personal reasons. An application is posted on the Waldport Community Page and can also be picked up at the Port office at 365 Port Street in Waldport or the Dock of the Bay at 1245 NE Mill Street in Waldport. Applicants must reside in the Port District and be eligible to vote in the Port District. The boundaries of the Port District are the south side of Marsh Street on the north (just south of Seal Rock), east to the Benton County border, south to the Lane County border, and west to the Pacific Ocean. Applications must be received by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, to be considered. Applications can be emailed to rcuellar@portofalsea.com, mailed to the Port of Alsea, P. 0.
